2011 was full of news and events at CFSL, Net and Ink, we have been busy! We wish you a happy new year right now, and we're workging on a nice card for the occasion.
After the Workshop, we released our first photo book "Tchernobyl, 25 ans après" directed by Carlos Pardo & Iloé, who went through the ruins of Prypiat to show us how the site had evolved and how it is today, the dead zone around the plant accident. We will see that this is not as dead as that, and despite the post-apocalyptic atmosphere, as always when the presence of humans is rare, nature, erosion and gravity take back their rights. The book is available at the shop, and in any bookstore.
As we enter the year it is now customary to invite you to meet with us in Angoulême! This year we will have two burning issues: one is the release of the book "Voyage au Japon", by Rémi Maynègre and Sandrine Garcia, who you will be able to meet and share your travel experiences with throughout the festival. The beautiful watercolors by Rémi will adorn your books, sold at our booth before their national release in the end of February !
And second, Brume, the collective environmental comic book, in favor of the LPO, is selected for the Prix Tournesol, alongside the Festival, organized by Europe Ecologie Les Verts, it's nice! Fingers crossed!
See you in the 26 to 29 January, in the Bulle Para BD Place des Halles, in Angoulême. With a little luck you can also come across Reuno, Aleksi Briclot, and our new multitask designer Floe!
Take care !
PS : we have some new stickers ! these will be available in Angoulême !

It's been several months without an update on this blog, let's make a little change with a big one ! Since the summer, we were very busy and a team change took place, here is the summary of the previous episodes.
Magnitude 9 was released in early September and had a very short first life in bookstores, it was out of stock in late September and we have just received copies of the second edition, so you can order it again. Artist's copies are not yet sent but don't worry, they'll be for sure!
In late September we had the honor printing the artbook XA: Colors! This is a colorful, joyful, explosive and inspiring book! Feel free to check it out, it is really worth a good long look. For those who do not know XA, he is the principal designer of DOFUS and WAKFU at Ankama Games.
In early October the Workshop was held! Everything went perfectly and you can see some photos and reports on the forum, by following this link.

A few days after a restorative short break, we were preparing the book came out of Rémi Maynègre, to be published end February 23 this year, after several delays and tons of adventures! This travel diary while in watercolor traces their journey in Tokyo, with fresh eyes. This is the first of three planned volumes, the story comes in French and Japanese at the same time.

Meanwhile, our first photographs book was at the printers in Italy. Chernobyl: 25 years later takes us to Prypiat city and its surroundings, it provides a photographic inventory of the city where nature has reclaimed its rights, before its opening to tourism. The route in the city is an intense and timeless experience. The high quality photos of the two authors walk us amidst the ruins of a still toxic ghost town. Expected release Nov. 24. Check the the first pages of the book here.
On November 26 we will be at the Pop'Up Fair at the Cité des Sciences in La Villette for a day of presentation and sale of books : just in time for your early Christmas shopping, enjoy it, you will be offered a board stickers CFSL with four adorable bunnies!

Finally, we will be at the Angoulême Festival in late January! There will be more info about our presence and signings to be held here soon. One thing is certain Rémi Maynègre's book : Trip to Japan will be available before its official release, and the author will perform some of his beautiful watercolors on your books!

Tsunami project: € 31,550 For Japan.
The auction took place last Saturday, in the Arludik Gallery in Paris, France. Many people were there : artists, journalists, buyers and a few curious tourists. The atmosphere was bustling, between religious silence, whispers, laughter and applause, the auction was an opportunity to see the forces implemented for the first action for the Japanese people, almost two months after the event.
The balance: € 31,550 which will go directly to Japan. Each artist and buyer will be able to track the effective delivery of the donation.
Our action does not end here! The Tsunami blog is open to artists wishing to participate. In addition an artbook called "Magnitude 9" is in preparation in our studios CFSL INK and its profits will be donated to support Japan. This 250 page book will give you the opportunity to see over 230 original works created around this project, it is already on pre-order on the shop Ankama.
