Voyage au Japon - Tome 1

In the fall of 2008, Rémi Maynègre and Sandrine Garcia made one of their dreams come true : they went to Japan ! This first book follows their steps as they wander through the Japanese megalopolis, Tokyo. You'll discover their walks in the narrow streets of the oldest parts of the city, and to the Shinjuku neon lights, where people are already living the future. The parks, temples, and the less crowded places are showed as they become more familiar with Tokyo, and the Japanese way of life, between tradition and technology. 

Rémi's watercolor are as realistic as they are poetic, very bright and colorful. The book is really large and printed on a special paper that renders the feeling of watercolor paper really well. Sandrine's descriptions of the trip is light and funny, for those who can read French or Japanses :)
